Running Shoe Advice

A good pair of running shoes is the most important piece of equipment for a runner to have (unless you are into barefoot running!). The choice of running shoe is determined by weight, foot structure, foot biomechanics, fitting preferences and running regimen. Running shoes have different shapes, and sizes are not uniform from shoe to shoe.

How much room at the end of running shoes?
There should be approximatly a thumbs width at the end of the running shoe.

How long should running shoes last?
Runnoing shoes usually they should be replaced every 400 to 600 miles, but this will depend on your weight, height, running style, surface you run on and the kind of shoe you have.

Running shoes for the overpronator:
You should probably run in a Motion Control Shoe, depending on your weight, mileage, and degree of pronation.

Underpronator running shoe
You should probably run in a light flexible shoe. A soft and flexible running shoe will encourage your fairly rigid foot to roll in properly so you absorb shock better. If you are fairly heavy, i.e. 180 to 200 and more, you might be better off in cushioned running shoe, because you'll wear out a lighter shoe too quickly.
